Team Happenstance is in action this weekend. Four players are heading to EVO 2019 in Las Vegas at the Mandalay Bay Casino for the biggest and greatest fighting games tournament in the history of mankind, if not the universe. We have three entered for Tekken and one playing Street Fighter V.
Nothing too exciting this week. Just drinking coffee. This here is a hanging ear single use pour over drip coffee thing-a-ma-jig. I first used one in Taiwan and I thought it was interesting so I bought a bunch to try out. It works pretty good.
We’re gonna start playing video games at the Aberdeen Boxing Club every Saturday morning, starting at 10. Last Saturday was our first one. We’re going to mostly do fighting games for now. Maybe we’ll find someone to send to EVO in Las Vegas to represent the gym.
Chano20xx almost doesn’t make it to San Jose for the Capcon Pro Tour event. But after some quick thinking, we made it happen. After a winners bracket and losers bracket Happenstance Coffee Chano finishes 97 out of one hundred billion people in the Street Fighter V tournament, or something like that.
This weekend Jet City Boxing fought at the amateur boxing show hosted by White Center PAL at Cascade Middle School in Burien, Wa. We drank some Happenstance Coffee before weigh-ins. The show was great, as always, and we came away 1-1 for the night. Champ champ Liz Tuani came to support the crew; she leaves this week for a boxing/fighting tour of the South with the Women of Combat.
